Yorkshire Three Peaks

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!
The lives of our Family, and Friends were changed forever in August 2018 when my amazing Husband Stuart, was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) Grade IV. This is the most aggressive form of Brain Tumour. Stuart was 29 at the time, and we had been married just 9 months. The prognosis he received was 12-18 months, there is currently no cure for this cancer.
Stuart had two lots of Brain Surgery 6 weeks of Radiotherapy and two different types of Chemotherapy. Unfortunately Stuart didn’t ever get any good news. His scans always showed tumour growth. Nothing could slow down the growth of his tumour, and Stuart passed away on 19th May 2019. Just nine months after his diagnosis, and aged 30.
Before Stuart was diagnosed I had no idea how devastating this disease is, and how many people it actually affects. Brain Tumour Research only receives a woeful 1% of National Cancer Funding each year. How can this be when Brain Tumours are the number one cancer killer amongst under 40s?
We are committed to raising awareness of Brain Tumours in Stuarts memory, and will be completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks on 6th June 2020! We will be walking up
We have been set a target by Brain Tumour Research of £400pp, so please dig deep and give what you can to this amazing charity!
Thank you for all your support in helping us to raise awareness and fund research in to Brain Tumours!!
