Blackpool Marathon · 26 April 2020

We’re the 10 million people living with arthritis in the UK. The carers, researchers and healthcare professionals. The family, friends and fundraisers. United by a clear vision: a future free from arthritis. One in which no one is limited by the pain, fatigue and isolation that arthritis can cause.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Millions of people wake up with arthritis every morning and face the day in pain, without the support and recognition they deserve. Arthritis attacks what it means to live and people with arthritis are often left to manage alone.

Versus Arthritis invests in breakthrough treatments, the best information and vital support for everyone affected by arthritis. Please sponsor me so that together we can overcome the pain, isolation and fatigue of arthritis.

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in December 2015. I am one of the lucky ones as the symptoms were spotted early and I was diagnosed quickly - plus the medication works. This means i can keep up my passion for running.

Originally I was running the Blackpool marathon to raise funds. Since the global COVID-19 pandemic halted all events I've felt a bit lost. So, I've decided to run 10k (at least) every day in May. That's a total minimum images of 310km or 193 miles!
