Wimbledon Civic Theatre Trust

Wimbledon Civic Theatre Trust facilitates exciting and innovative theatre education projects in S. London, improving access to performing arts for children and young people, focusing on those of secondary school age, those with special needs and those experiencing economic or social disadvantage.

Charity Registration No. 1011660

Join us for a night of live music in The Old Frizzle pub to raise urgently needed funds for Wimbledon Civic Theatre Trust and its Young Actors Company.

WCTT proudly presents a charity gig across the road from our rehearsal space (at New Wimbledon Theatre) featuring some of the most exciting, emerging musical talent in Merton.

This is an opportunity to make a positive change to the community by helping to save a thriving youth theatre from closure - and to celebrate the end of exams, and the start of summer, with a group of hugely talented young artists.

Live music from 7pm comes courtesy of high-energy, local indie band The Eclectics, with awesome solo artists Sheya McAllister, Ashley Dee and Gabriel Lumsden.

All proceeds will go to WCTT, the local arts charity that empowers young people in Merton to express their creativity and fulfil their potential.

The charity's Young Actors Company (YAC) is free to attend and provides high-quality acting training, giving young people a safe space to create exciting and challenging theatre on a professional stage.

Sadly, due to losing its main sponsors in 2017, the charity is under immense financial pressure and may be forced to close the youth theatre in September: this inaugural live music night, kindly hosted by our lovely neighbours, The Old Frizzle pub, is one of a number of initiatives, driven by the young actors, their parents and trustees of the charity, to fight for survival.

So please, dig out those faded rock tees and join us...let's get on down for this brilliant cause. The bands will play until 9:30pm - but the grown-ups in the audience can prop up the bar until closing time.

For inclusion on the guest list, hit the DONATE tab below and simply leave your name and number of guests, along with your kind donation of £10 per adult and £2.50 for under-18s.

See you there and thanks for reading!
