Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Abseil down Guildford Cathedral · 24 May 2014

For over 40 years Phyllis Tuckwell has been supporting and caring for patients and families who have been given the worst possible news in West Surrey & North East Hampshire. We rely on the support of our community as we have to raise over £25,000 every day to continue our amazing services.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those of you who know me, you will know that me and heights do not go together that well, so.......this is a real challenge for me and one that i am taking on for a really worthwhile cause that i have grown to learn more and more about since joining them just over a year ago and one that is run by a fantastic team of hardworking, dedicated and caring people who do many crazy things alongside our supporters to raise the funds that we need to continue to provide the vital services that we offer within our catchment area.

Well.............Now its my turn to step up and contribute by taking part in one of the many events that we can all get involved in. This one seemed simple, but i am not so sure now having seen previous video's and photographic evidence. So, i have the weekend to finally decide if its for me or not and i figured i would see how many of my so called friends would sponsor to see a 6' 3" man potentially hanging upside down from a rope off the side of a cathedral crying like a girl.............yes, it could definately happen!!

So come on all, help me get to the target i have set myself, its all for a very very worthwhile cause and every penny really does matter to the people that we care for and for their families and friends.

Thanking you all in advance!!

Barry xx
