My name is Josh and I am the Recruitment Manager at Your Home Care. I want to take on the Game Over Dementia challenge because I want to help raise awareness around dementia. 
My Grandma lived with dementia for 5 years. I would have been 15 years old at the time my Grandma was told she had dementia and I didn't know anything about it.
Dementia made my Grandma forget where she lived, she forgot that her parents had sadly passed away and would tell me that they were coming round for dinner. My Grandma was a very strong person and I did everything I could to help her remember some aspects of her life by showing pictures and telling her stories that she once told me when I was growing up. My Grandma will always be my hero.
So my aim is to raise the awareness because I would have appreciated something like Game Over Dementia at the time because I have always enjoyed playing games and watching streams of people playing my favourite games so being able to watch streams and being told more about dementia I would have known more about it and how it impacted my Grandmas day to day life.
