Story
There are few things more satisfying in cricket than bringing up a century at Lord’s. Mine, however, will require neither bat nor pads, but a comfortable pair of shoes and a certain disregard for common sense.
I’ll be walking 100 laps of the Home of Cricket — 50km in a single day — to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society.
I’m unlikely to receive a standing ovation from the Pavilion, but it is all in support of an immensely worthwhile cause.
Every donation will help Alzheimer’s Society provide vital support to people living with dementia and their families, as well as fund research for the future.
I’d be enormously grateful for your support as I set out on what promises to be a rather long innings — with the simple ambition of reaching 100 at Lord’s and still being there at stumps.
