Hello!
I’m taking part in the Prince’s Trust Palace to Palace this year. In the week commencing the 21st September I plan to cycle

90 miles

(YES NINETY OF THEM) to help raise money for the young people who have been hit the hardest by the pandemic.
I’ve always donated to charity but never actively done something myself (unless you count walking the perimeter of my primary school 10 times in fancy dress when I was 8 years old) so when
Magic Radio
asked if I would join the team about 6 months ago I nervously said yes.
Since then I’ve overcome my fear of cycling in London and on roads, I’ve built up muscle I didn’t even know I had, I’ve got the best tan in years and me and Bluey (the bike) have explored places I never knew existed. It’s time I make it worthwhile and do some good for others.
According to The Prince's Trust latest Lockdown Report, 46% of young people say that finding a job now feels 'impossible'. When I was a teenager I had no idea how to navigate my way into a career I loved but I was lucky. I met the right people, worked hard and had a lot of stuff happen at the right time. I am privileged. The Princes Trust is there for those young people who aren’t handed opportunities on a plate, I can’t imagine how impossible it would have felt for them to find a job with or without a global pandemic.
The plan? Cycle 30 miles (ish) on three separate days in the week...
Ride 1: Dorset

Abbotsbury, around Portland and into Weymouth (potench then to Dorchester)
Ride 2: New Forest

Loop from Lymington (this one might change)
Ride 3: Surrey/ London

maybe Box Hill or the original ‘Palace to Palace’ route from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle. Haven’t decided yet!
Donations would be amazing. No matter how big or small! Do it before I chicken out
