YouSeq Three Peaks Challenge · 8 July 2022

We are on a mission to break cycles of dependency and poverty by investing in and operating faith-driven, locally-owned, sustainable social enterprises. We focus on social enterprises that promote education, health and economic development.

Story

YouSeq are a biotech company based in Winchester who are completing the UK Three Peaks Challenge on the 8th July!  Eight incredible members of the YouSeq team are completing this physically and mentally gruellling challenge which is an attempt to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours to raise funds for Edith's Hope. A huge thank you to Jim, Sam, Anoop, Ciaran, Tom, Alexei, Helen, Jamie and Kieran.

Edith's Hope work alongside more than 350 children orphaned by HIV/AIDS in the community of Ngora, a small town in the Kumi District of Uganda. Orphaned families are supported from their moment of need, providing short term, immediate care and enrolling them into a long term programme providing education, resources and structure to enable them to live sustainably and independently.

YouSeq is very is proud to support Edith’s Hope!  All of the funds raised by our Three Peaks Challenge will be going directly to Edith's Hope, to build the two homes, for two families supported by the Child Headed Families Project. These families are made up of orphaned children who have been receiving support from Edith’s Hope for the last four years. To provide them with the best start to their future, Edith’s Hope builds these families a purpose built, durable, sustainable home.

From last years families, two still need homes. With each home costing £2,500 and our aim of raising £5,000,  these home could be built. If you can donate anything at all, we would be incredibly grateful!

We will be posting updates on the construction of the homes and of our challenge!
