Os ydych yn ddisgybl neu gyn-ddisgybl o Ysgol Henry Richard neu yn gyn-ddisgybl o Ysgol Uwchradd Tregaron fi’n sicr un o uchafbwyntiau y flwyddyn i chi oedd y daith gerdded noddedig. O Soar Y Mynydd  neu yn
ddiweddar ar lwybr Cors Caron mae’r daith wedi bod yn dipyn o her, ond yn gyfle i gymdeithasu wrth godi arian tuag at Adran Ymchwil Cancr yn Ysbyty Felindre, Caerdydd.

Rydym yn awyddus iawn i barhau gyda’r traddodiad yma eleni trwy gynnal taith gerdded rithiol rhwng y 22ain a’r 28ain o Fehefin. Ein bwriad yw i bawb cofnodi pob taith ar ‘STRAVA’ a chodi cymaint o arian a phosib trwy ddefnyddio gwefan ‘Just Giving’.  Yr her am eleni yw i ni fel disgyblion, athrawon, cyn-ddisgyblion a’r gymuned i gerdded yn rhithiol o’r Ysgol yn Nhregaron i Ysbyty Felindre, Caerdydd a nôl - cyfanswm o 154 o filltiroedd. Fedrwch chi gwblhau’r her drwy gerdded o gwmpas yr
ardd neu yn bellach yn y gymuned.

I gofnodi eich taith bydd rhaid i chi lawr lwytho’r App ‘STRAVA’, sydd am ddim, ac ymuno gyda’r Clwb ‘Ysgol Henry Richard’. Pan yn recordio eich taith, mae’n hanfodol eich bod yn cofnodi eich gweithgaredd fel ‘Run’ neu ni fydd yn cyfrannu at y cyfanswm o filltiroedd. Mi fydd yna wobr i’r person sydd yn cyflawni’r cyfanswm uchaf o filltiroedd yn ystod yr wythnos. Wrth gwrs prif bwrpas y daith gerdded yw codi arian tuag at Adran Ymchwil Cancr yn Ysbyty Felindre, Caerdydd, felly cofiwch rannu’r ddolen i’r dudalen ‘Just Giving’

If you are a pupil or former pupil of Henry Richard School or a former pupil of Tregaron Secondary school, I am certain one of the highlights of the year for you was the annual sponsored walk. From Soar Y Mynydd or more recently on Cors Caron the walk has been a significant challenge, but at the same time an opportunity to socialise with your peers whilst raising money towards the Cancer Research Department at Velindre Hospital, Cardiff.

We are very keen to continue this tradition this year by conducting a virtual walk between the 22nd and 28th of June. We intend for everyone who wishes to participate to record all walks/runs on 'Strava' and to raise as much money as possible using the 'Just Giving' website.  The
challenge for this year is for us as pupils, teachers, former pupils and the
community combined to walk or run the distance from the school in Tregaron to Velindre Hospital, Cardiff and back, a total of 154 miles. You can complete the challenge by walking around the garden or out in the community.

To record your walk/run you will have to download the 'Strava' App which is free and join the 'Ysgol Henry Richard' Club. When you are recording your activity, it is essential that you record your activity as a 'Run' or it will not contribute to the total number of miles. There will be a prize for the person who achieves the highest total number of miles during the week. Of course, the main purpose of the walk is to raise money towards the Cancer Research department at Velindre Hospital, Cardiff, so please share the link to the ‘Just Giving’ page-
