THE WALK: 

Join us for a group walk in the Peak District to bring together like minded people with a love for the outdoors. Everyone is welcome and it doesn't matter whether you are coming alone or with a friend... we welcome people from all walks of life on our meetups! The walk is hosted by Yugen Explore and supported by komoot raising money for FareShare. 

If you don't already know Yugen Explore we are a travel and outdoor brand created to encourage more people to go on adventures and explore the world. We also run free hiking meet-ups to encourage more people to get outside and connect our community and followers. We want to reduce lonliness and social isolation over the festive period and connect like-minded people who share a love of the great outdoors. In support of COP26 we want to raise £260 for FareShare and to support the many families and children that will otherwise go hungry this Christmas. It is atrocious that in this day and age people are still starving and we want to use our platform for good and to support the people that really need it in the UK.

FareShare is a charity network aimed at relieving food poverty and reducing food waste in the UK, which has been running since 1994. They are the UK's largest charity fighting hunger and food waste. They save good food from going to waste and redistribute it to frontline charities. There are 8.4 million people in the UK struggling to afford to eat and FareShare trying to help as many people as possible. They need our help more than ever and at Yugen Explore we want to do what we can to support them. The cost to enter the event is recommended at £10 and the full amount will be donated straight to FareShare.
