YUSU RAG's Jailbreak 2017 · 17 March 2017 to 19 March 2017 ·

Kidscan, the children's cancer research charity, is working to promote and support research into the causes, prevention, treatment and cure of cancers in children. No other charity researches into specifically children’s cancers which makes their work both unique and vital.

Story

On Friday 17th March, University of York students will set off on their 30 hour Jailbreak adventure - a sponsored challenge whereby participants need to try and travel as far away from York uni as possible, using only their charm to blag their way across the globe.

This is the 2nd Jailbreak event for Kidscan organised by YUSU RAG Society. Last year University of York students travelled as far as Istanbul, Stockholm and Geneva, and they raised £13,000 for Kidscan; a children's cancer research charity based in the North West of England, which funds vital research into new and improved treatments specifically for children with cancer. This year, they're hoping to do even better!

Currently fundraising for Jailbreak 2017 stands at an absolutely incredible £16,648.96This is the highest Jailbreak fundraising amount at this stage in Kidscan's history of working with university RAG societies to organise Jailbreak events!

Let's not stop there...please donate to help York University's Jailbreak 2017 beat last year by raising even more funds for Kidscan Children's Cancer Research. Not only will you be supporting York students, but you'll also be joining Kidscan in building a world where every child diagnosed with cancer not only survives but thrives.
