Mum first started the Brittle Bone Society 45 years ago, to help people who had the condition Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bones) from a small council house In Dundee - The Society was formed because Mum was told that there was no-one to help her - so she hopes that no-one will feel the isolation that she felt all those years ago being told that there was no help available.
The most important thing for Mum personally is that we have our Annual Conference once a year where old familes and new , come together especially those with young babies and those newly diagnosed who come together to listen to the experts and exchange ideas. This year it is being held at the end of August.
If you could donate something however large or small approximately £800 would help people to meet everyone and come away with a better understanding of our condition.
The Society also supplies the much needed equipment and holds OI clinics around the country and has a medical advisory panel.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, so that you can help Mum towards her wish that the" Wishbone will be the only bone that is broken and not those of little children".
