Story
We are taking up the three peaks challenge for the first time, training hard and ready to give it everything we’ve got. Its a grueling 24.5 mile hike across the three yorkshire peaks which are made up of Pen-y-Ghent/ Ingleborough and Whernside.
Usually done around the 12 hour mark we are aiming to complete it before then but whatever happens as long as we are raising money and awareness then we’ve done ourselves proud.
We are taking part in this challenege to raise £105,000 to purchase a Ret-Cam for Hull and East Yorkshire Trust Eye Hospital at Hull Royal Infirmary. The hospital currently doesnt own on of these cameras and it is a vital part of equiptment which allows images to be taken of the back of childrens eyes in order to assess and diagnose a variety of eye problems such as Retinoblastoma which is an eye cancer.
Without this piece of equiptment families are forced to travel to other hospitals around the UK in order to recieve the specialist treatment they need .
Thank you for reading our story and for any donations that you generously make. Every little helps towards the big target and towards helping local children gain the treatment they need.
