Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. I have chosen to raise money for this smaller military charity as I truly believe in its cause. Having served in the Army in a variety of guises spending long periods of time away from loved ones and then often returning to a difficult situation with little understand/help to settle back in to 'normal life' the power of reconnection offered by Give Us Time is unmeasurable. 

In 2019 I was lucky to be gifted a beautiful family holiday by Hilary to Tuscany where I spent a whole week focusing on family time and I credit that intervention with some of my happiest memories, not to mention probably reducing the high probability of mental health issues that can be triggered by separation within military careers. 

It is well documented that military personnel are much more likely to suffer from adjustment disorder, I have found the inability to plan further than two years ahead very challenging, the constant pressure of not knowing and churn of making friends and then leaving them certainly takes its toll. Give Us Time does what it says on the tin, it allows you that breathing space with the people you love the most to stop time and enjoy it, to reset before running and jumping over that next hurdle that life will inevitably bring. 

I have been spreading the word of this fantastic charity of the past 3 and a bit years and now it is time for me to give back. I want to give this amazing charity the exposure it so deserves and help donate some more time to military families in need so please help me if you can. 

P.S. I don't like running, I am not very good at it and the only thing that is going to get me over the line is the thought of raising money to enable other military families the pleasure of spending time together to reconnect so please help me to make that happen! Thank you again.
