Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The UN has declared the East Africa famine as the worst humanitarian crisis since 1945. South Sudan is officially in a state of famine, and if it does not rain in April, the same could happen in Somalia within the next few weeks. Kenya is also on the brink of famine, and Yemen, Malawi and Nigeria are in similar situations.

Muslim Hands has been working with communities in East Africa, delivering education, livelihoods support and healthcare for years. During their Africa on the Edge campaign they have distributed emergency food and water supplies to communities suffering from food crises in East Africa.

Around 22 million are at crisis in Africa. The UN has warned that 50,000 children are at risk of starving to death in Somalia, and 3 million do not reliable access to food.
