With what is going on in the world this is even more important for the Muslim ummah to come together. The purpose of this retreat is to help bring water to those in need. The reality is that 783 million people worldwide do not have access to clean water. With over 800,000 people dying from water-related illnesses each year, unsafe water is the single biggest obstacle to the progression and health of communities in the developing world. Living in 2020 we should be all entitled to having access the basic human needs food and water. I feel that no should have to go with out this so myself and my sister are doing a hike to raise awareness and money to help families and children get the basic needs which most of us dont think twice about its as simple as opening a tap for us.
