My Story

Hey everyone,

I am raising money for St Peter’s Hospice in Bristol.

As some of you may know, my mother lost her battle to cancer back in 2002. Instead of being in a hospital in her final days, St Peter’s Hospice looked after my mum and really cared for her when she needed it most. I was only 11 years old at the time but I could see how fantastic the staff at the hospice were and this really made a difference to her and to me.  

This is my first ever fundraising attempt so I am very nervous!

As a way of saying a BIG THANK YOU to the Hospice, I have been growing and nourishing my hair for the last 5 years. It’s now over 18 inches long and so I’m going to give it the BIG CHOP!

Before I do, I would be incredibly grateful for any donations to help St Peter’s Hospice care for people in the future. Any amount will be gratefully received - even if you are donating the cost of buying your morning coffee today!

St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's ONLY adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Our commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones.All of our care is provided free of charge, but it costs us around £20,000 a day to provide that care. For most of this money we rely on Gifts in Wills, donations, fundraising and our shops.
