Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.  If you decide to donate you will be contributing to the interminable fight against cancer and all the pain, suffering and loss it inflicts on families all over the UK. 

My mother tragically died from bowel cancer at the age of 65, and although her battle is now over the battle against cancer certainly is not.  

On 25 May 2014 I plan to complete the Edinburgh marathon in my mother’s memory and to raise as much as possible for my chosen charity Marie Curie Cancer Care.

There are around 309,500 new cases of cancer diagnosed each year in the UK, and more than 1 in 3 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime.
