If you know me well, you will know that I NEVER run, so running a half marathon is kind of a big deal for me and is something I have never imagined myself doing! However, since Adnan came into our lives, I am inspired every day by him to do more and challenge myself more, and so I am hoping to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 14th October 2018, whilst hopefully also raising some money for Shooting Star Chase, a charity which is very close to our hearts.

Adnan was born with a rare, life-limiting condition called Mucolipidosis Type II (or I-cell Disease). The condition affects his growth and development, and our devastating reality is that he is not expected to survive early childhood. But our handsome and amazing little superstar inspires us every day by reaching new milestones, and smiling, singing and dancing his way through life despite all the daily struggles he faces.

Shooting Star Chase Children's Hospice have been an incredible support for Adnan and us since Adnan was a baby, and they have given us, as a family, lots of happy memories that we will cherish forever. I am honoured to be supporting such a fantastic charity and hope I can challenge myself a little too!
