We often spend countless hours deliberating on which schools are best for our children, striving to give them the greatest chance for success and happiness in life.
Yet, this privilege remains out of reach for the vast majority of children worldwide.
In Islam, providing for children, especially orphans, is a deeply cherished and vital act of kindness. It holds such significance that Allah mentions orphans in the Quran no less than 25 times.
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also emphasised the immense reward in caring for orphans, reminding us of its profound virtue.
One of the most beautiful and well-known sayings of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is:
"The one who cares for an orphan and I will be together in Paradise like this," as he held his two fingers close together to illustrate. [Bukhari]
