Bridge2Aid - Kilimanjaro Trek 2011 · 18 August 2011 ·

There is a desperate need to tackle oral disease, infection and chronic pain throughout the developing world - to enable people to work, attend school and care for families. We teach skills that mean local people are able to function free from pain, and avoid preventable infections and diseases.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Those of you that know us will know that embarking on such a challenge is a first for both of us. Yes we've jumped out of planes and even done a few Bungee jumps (not for the faint hearted!) but although daunted by the prospect of climbing "Kili" we are both extremely excited by the challenge ahead. We thought long and hard about leaving our 2 boys, Zizi and Rico, for 10 days as well as our new practice K2, and after much deliberation, we finally decided to go for it, especially considering it is for such a worthwhile cause.
The thought of altitude sickness, aching joints and muscles as well as blisters and stitches is a scary one but knowing that we have reached our target of £6000, will surely help us on our way and overcome any challenges that "Kili" will throw at us during our 5895m ascent.
So please dig deep and give as much as you can.

Thank you to you all from Zaki & Dominique
