On 4th September 2020 our beautiful Son Zak Reuben Trawford was born. When he was born he had breathing difficulties so had to go straight up to intensive care, but the doctors managed to get that under control. They also noticed he had some features which suggested there was some more issues so sent tests away for further investigation. 

A few days later they found Zak had a heart issue where one of the chambers was not working so we got rushed to Bristol children’s hospital where he could have surgery. While we were there, they found lots of other health issues and all these things were because Zak had unbalanced translocation of chromosomes 15 and 22. So sadly we were told he was not going to get better and there was nothing that could be done. Zak died on Sunday 20th aged just 15 days old. We said goodbye to our little boy on the 6th October. We sang the songs that we sang to him while he was inside Charlotte's belly. He was a big fan of you'll be in my heart by Phil Collins and the Goodbye song from Bear in the Big Blue House. 

We will miss Zak dearly but we understand that it was just not meant to be.
