Story

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

I hope that all of you lovely people reading this are well, and in the best of health and imaan.

Alhamdulilah, we are so incredibly blessed to have reached this beautiful and blessed month of Ramadan. Especially during such difficult times, whilst the world is seeing such a massive pandemic of such a deadly disease. Let’s make the most of this blessed month and make it worthwhile that it changes us internally, that it helps to build our relationship with Allah (SWT) and bring us closer to Him. And what could give your heart more comfort than knowing that you have pleased your creator?

How do we achieve this?
Through our Salah, our remembrance of Allah (SWT), Reading the Qur’an, increasing our knowledge and giving in Charity.

"The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his Charity" - (Tirmidhi)

Giving in Charity is one of the most important things that we could do, and ultimately it is this beautiful deed that will be an investment into our Ahkhira (Hereafter).

“The best charity is that given in Ramadhan.” (Tirmidhi)

This Ramadan, I would like to help raise money for a cause I feel very strongly about and I would love it if you could support me and donate to this cause.

I will be doing two giveaways this Ramadan via my Instagram to support this cause, so if you are on this page after being directed from my Instagram. Please @ your Instagram usernames in the comments when you donate for a chance to be entered into these giveaways.

The first giveaway will only be open to those living in Manchester, and you will be entered for the chance of receiving an Iftar Box of treats made by me. For those of you who may not know, I get creative every year and make personalised Iftar Boxes.

The second giveaway is open to anybody in the UK, and will be announced as we approach the last 10 nights of Ramadan, so keep checking back to stay updated.

To enter: Follow the instructions on my latest Instagram post.

This year’s cause:

The Rohingya Refugees are some of the most persecuted and oppressed people on the face of the earth. Over 800,000 of them now live in overcrowded refugee camps in Bangladesh. Every day is a struggle, especially for the essentials like food and water.
The Islamic Help team have been providing the Rohingya Refugees with the essential support and care that they need in the form of food, water, medical aid, housing, education, orphan sponsorship and much more.

There is however a desperate need for clean water facilities which are safe from external contamination. With your support we will be able to install a Solar Powered Deep Water Well to support thousands of Rohingya Refugees deep within the camps.
Each solar powered well only costs £10,500 to build! Help us achieve this target by donating your Sadaqah today.

It doesn't matter how little or how big of a donation, everything counts and there are so many blessings in every intention that we make during this blessed month.

Jazakhallah Khair,

Zara
