Kashmir Relief & Development Foundation (KRDF) is a UK- based (Waltham Forest) registered charity that provides free education in remote areas of Kashmir. Established in 2005 after the devastating earthquake that left over 70,000 people dead and almost all education infrastructure destroyed, we have successfully built schools for children, helped thousands of women by providing them free vocational training and have helped many remote areas by providing fresh water supply. OUR MISSION: KRDF strives to empower individuals especially those who are in dire need of help by providing them with quality education. We aim to be at the forefront of empowering women and helping to make them self reliant. We also endeavour to transform lives by improving access to safe water in remote areas. We identify remote areas in Kashmir and develop facilities to educate the children to the best standard possible.

Story

I am here to ask for your support in raising money for a charity very dear to my family's heart.

Before Covid, my inspirational dad - who was a life long activist and philanthropist - had been training to fulfil his wish to run a marathon and raise money for the Kashmir Relief & Development Foundation (KRDF), a charity close to his heart. He was 63 years old and in the best health of his life.

But in June 2020, my dad suddenly departed from this world, leaving us completely heartbroken, and his dream of running the marathon incomplete.

Today, I want to follow in his footsteps by completing this part of his journey.

In the name of my late father, I will be running a half marathon and raising money for KRDF, who are working tirelessly to help the less fortunate in rural parts of Kashmir.

KRDF is a UK based registered charity. I ask for your support in raising money for this worthy cause by donating whatever you can afford to.
