🎯 The Challenge: Zip for Winnie! 🚀
To raise vital funds and awareness for Winnie’s care, Emma D'Arcy and Sarah Manders are soaring into action — quite literally — by taking on one of the most thrilling challenges in the UK: England’s longest and fastest zip wire!
They’ll be flying headfirst in the iconic Superman position, hurtling through the skies at over 50mph, with nothing but 720 metres of adrenaline-pumping air beneath them.
This incredible zipline cuts through the chalk cliffs of an old quarry and glides over stunning lakes, offering breathtaking views and heart-racing speeds. It’s not for the faint hearted… but Emma and Sarah are doing it for someone truly extraordinary.
They’re pushing themselves to new heights to honour the bravery of a little girl who faces challenges every single day with courage and determination — and they need your support to make it count.
💛 Why We Need Your Help
Your donation will go directly toward helping Winnie with:
Hydrotherapy and other vital therapies to support her mobility and wellbeing
Medical and travel expenses linked to frequent hospital visits and operations
Specialist home equipment including accessible toileting and washing facilities
Ongoing adaptations and care to support her independence and comfort
Winnie’s needs will be ongoing throughout her life, and every single contribution helps build a future where she can thrive, smile, and feel safe in her own home.
🌟 Wish for Winnie – Help Us Support a Brave Little Fighter 🌟
Meet Winnie D'Arcy, a beautiful and courageous young girl who faces life with more strength than most of us could imagine. Winnie lives with Brittle Bone Disease (Osteogenesis Imperfecta), Autism, and Von Willebrand’s Disease, a rare bleeding disorder. Each day brings unique challenges — but moments of incredible resilience, smiles, and hope.
Winnie has already endured more hospital stays, surgeries, and medical procedures than most adults ever will. She requires frequent operations and long stays in hospital, making ongoing travel and accommodation expenses a heavy burden for her family.
In between hospital visits, Winnie needs specialist therapies like hydrotherapy, which helps ease her pain and supports her physical development. At home, she requires specialised equipment to meet her basic needs — including adapted toileting and washing facilities — to help her live as comfortably and independently as possible.
💖 Our Wish for Winnie
We want to see Winnie comfortable, confident, and happy — living in a home that supports her needs, surrounded by love, and given every opportunity to grow. We want to help her gain as much independence as possible and support both her physical and emotional wellbeing.
Emma and Sarah are taking a leap (literally!) for Winnie. Please, join us by donating, sharing, or simply cheering them on as we take on this challenge for a wonderful cause.
Let’s lift Winnie up — together.
Thank you so much,
The D'Arcy Family
