Feeding and Educating the Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh

Feeding and Educated the Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh · 5 September 2018
After hearing about many projects HRF are involved with, and finding out more about the horrifying persecution of Rohingya Muslims, where the Amnesty international report highlighted unlawful killings, multiple rapes and the destruction of entire villages leaving a refugee crisis at the border in Bangladesh with over half a million refugees struggling to survive, I have decided to go and visit the largest refugee camp in the world myself, and help support them any way possible when there with your help.
Your donation will go towards immediate help on the ground!
And i'm hoping to raise as much money as possible to get a hot food kitchen re-opened after hearing how it was shut down after a lack of funds. The kitchen supplied hot food to 1100 refugees, mainly children and the most vulnerable, and a single meal a day costs just 40p!! These rare meals served on the camp are nutritious and locally sourced and include meat. We are hoping to raise enough money to keep the kitchen open for at least 6 months!
My love of education has also led me to want to raise money for the primary school within the camp, ran by qualified Rohingya teachers themselves, which is only able to currently provide education for 150 children. Just £6.50 a month provides the child with literacy/numeracy skills, uniform, stationary, bag, books, safety and hygiene education with basic hygiene equipment, where they have to brush their teeth at the beginning of the school day and a hot meal with additional snacks during the school day. We are hoping to raise money to not just sustain this provision for the 150 students but to expand and provide education for more children.
I will be visiting the camps in just 10 days inshaAllah and ask you to please donate generously towards providing immediate help, food and education for the Rohingya Refugee children.
