Story

Hi everyone,

I am running the Great North Run 2018 for Walking With The Wounded. I chose this charity, because of the wonderful work that they do to support vulnerable veterans re-integrate back into society and sustain their independence.

My Story.

I was medically discharged from the Army, after being diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease - Ulcerative Colitis. Trying to find my feet again after serving 14 years in a career I was incredibly proud of and passionate about, was by far the biggest challenge I've ever had to endure. Thankfully, I overcame this, however there are others out there who are suffering and unable to find a way out - this is where wonderful charities such as Walking With The Wounded step in. I am hoping that together, we can raise enough funds and awareness  to help light the way, if only for one individual, but hopefully many.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Please be assured that any donation, no matter how small, is gratefully received by myself and Walking With The Wounded.
