The Priscilla Bacon Hospice appeal aims to raise £12.5 million to build a new hospice for the community of Norfolk and Waveney. Since the appeal was launched in 2019, a tremendous response from local people means over £5 million has been raised, but there is still a long way to go. The new Priscilla Bacon Hospice will be situated on land adjacent to the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. It will offer 24 inpatient beds, alongside improved day care and outpatients facilities. It will serve as a coordination centre for the Hospice at Home team, who deliver care - particularly in rural areas. The hospice will also be a platform for education and research into end-of-life care, supporting improvements in provision locally and nationally.
