I'm appalled at the rising homelessness and poverty in our society, so the least I can do is to try and raise some funds to try to help.  At Acorn, we're delighted to be working with the MK YMCA to provide a day nursery in the city centre, which will also provide training opportunities, and some of my colleagues at our Jubilee Wood nursery have already spent a night under the stars to raise funds for the YMCA, so I thought I'd better follow their example and do my bit, by joining the sleepout on 7th November. 

I absolutely love my comfortable bed and a good night's sleep, and I try not to take it for granted, knowing that so many don't have that luxury.  Sabrina Cohen-Hatton on desert island discs sets an inspirational example, and although I'm not looking forward to a cold and uncomfortable night, at least I'll be safe and in good company.
