The 3 of us have been best of friends from school. 12 weeks ago we decided to start running together more as a social thing so we could use this time to catch up, we soon come to realise that it was good for the mind and helped us relieve any busy day to day life stresses we may of had. Having had come in to contact with people that suffer with their mental health or having struggled at some point ourselves with things ranging from anxiety, depression or post natal issues we soon decided we would like to complete a run to raise funds for mental health. However.... never in a million years did we think we would be signing up to run our first half marathon! 12 weeks ago none of us were serious runners so throughout our training there have been times that we have felt like giving up, aches and pains that we thought would put a stop to it, feet that were blistered so bad it stopped us training, sweat, tears and stress, but with 3 weeks left and the half marathon in sight we are ready and can’t wait for the challenge.
So ladies and gents please dig deep and donate as much or as little as you can to help raise money for people that need a little more support because they they struggling with mental health issues. The mind is such a powerful thing and people are suffering in silence everyday. Help us try and make a little difference and start to make a change.
