Thanks for taking the time to visit our 'STREAK FOR TIGERS' page
On Thursday 15th August 2013 Paul & Lynn Nettleingham will be running round London Zoo STARK NAKED along with 300 other entrants to raise awareness and raise funds to help the ZSL Sumatran Tiger projects in the first ever “Streak for Tigers” event.
It started as a joke, Paul found the event online, sent Lynn the website link saying " You love Tigers, you could do this to help them lol" ....and the reply was "We're doing it !!" Next time Paul says he may well think before sending a joke email !
Wearing nothing but trainers and a pair of fluffy Tiger ears, the animal mad pair will have the daunting task of running around a 10 minute course set out within London Zoo. Friends and family can even go to watch !
Why get naked and run? Because the term “Streak” is the collective name for a group of tigers !
Lynn is absolutely petrified of doing this event, but she is more passionate about helping the Tigers. Paul even proposed to her at the WHF Big Cat Sanctuary at Headcorn. With only 300 Sumatran Tigers left in the wild, they hope this event will not only raise much needed funds for ZSL but it will also highlight and raise the profile of the drastic work that needs to be done in order to save the Sumatran Tiger.
