Story

Our virtual charity exhibition 'Art from the Heart' 2021 is now here.

After the overwhelming success of last year’s charity online exhibition Art From The Heart 💙 for the Oxford Hospitals Charity, when over 130 Oxfordshire artists came forward to try to make a difference at a time of national and global crisis, Lizzie Collins at Zuleika Gallery is calling out for artists to come together again to raise money for Maggie’s Oxford.

50% of all sales will be donated to Maggie’s Oxford. For full details and entry forms please go to www.zuleikagallery.com/nhs

Located at The Patricia Thompson Building at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford, Maggie’s Oxford strives to offer the best possible support to anyone with cancer and their families free of charge. The centre provides a breathing space away from hospital and professional support in a calm, uplifting and friendly space. Co-founder Maggie Keswick Jencks knew from her own experience, the importance of art, architecture and gardens in creating a healing space for those affected by cancer. The Maggie’s Centres aim to create a home-from-home where there is light, warmth, access to nature and domesticity.

One of the many casualties of the Covid pandemic has been a cut in financial support for many charities and Maggie’s has suffered like other organisations.

Zuleika Gallery is therefore calling out to the artists who helped us last year, as well as those living and working across the UK to join us again in trying to make a difference in supporting this wonderful and life enhancing organisation.

We will not make any money from this exhibition and simply wish to use our network and resources to support Maggie's Oxford as part of our charitable outreach programme.

Zuleika Gallery was founded in Oxford in 2015. We opened our permanent space in St James's, the heart of London's art world, in 2017. In August 2020 we opened our second permanent space in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. This two - room gallery is nestled next to the Oxfordshire museum and opposite the historic Bear hotel, and along from Blenheim Palace, home to the Blenheim Art Foundation.
