In March 2020, I will be taking on the massive challenge running the London Landmarks Half Marathon.                                                                            

The last year has been very different to the four before it.

We welcomed our beautiful baby girl Matilda Jemima on the 20th March 2019.

I’m sure the birth of their first child is a stand out memory in everyone’s lives but for Chantelle and I, hearing Tilly’s cry for the first time in theatre allowed us to let go of the pent up emotion that only recurrent miscarriage can bring. We both sobbed with joy, relief and overwhelming love for the gorgeous baby in our arms.

The team at st Mary’s Paddington offer scans every 2 weeks leading up to the main 12 week scan. We found this incredibly reassuring and supportive- although 2 weeks feels like forever to wait at the time! Getting to see a healthy pregnancy doing backflips and growing week by week with that all important heartbeat beating strong was mind blowing.
This together with a diagnosis, treatment for Chantelle and appointments with world class consultants made for an absolutely amazing level of care.
We could not be more grateful to the team and count our lucky stars every day.

* 1 in 100 women experience recurrent miscarriage
* If the cause is unknown, 6 out of 10 women who have had three miscarriages will go on to have a baby.
* The cause is unknown in around half of cases of recurrent miscarriages
