Us three girls have been best friends for about eight years now, and whilst we've stayed strong as friends, our personal lives have been rocked by cancer.

When Erin and Katie's mums were diagnosed with cancer within just one week of each other, we faced our biggest trial as we had to provide a type of support we'd never even imagined having to do.

We were there for each other come what may.

Whilst, thankfully, Katie's mum survived her breast cancer and is now in remission, Erin's mum wasn't quite so lucky and passed away in February 2011.

We want to run this race and are working hard to do so, to raise money for this charity. They are continuing their fight to ensure that in future, people don't have to go through what we, and many of our other friends, already have.
