In memory of Jill Mack

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year my mother in law, Jill Mack sadly died for a terminal lung condition. She had been diagnosed only the year before and the progress of the disease was much quicker than expected.

She desperately wanted to spend her last days in her own home surrounded by her family and in particular her beloved grandchildren, at first we felt this was going to be difficult to implement, however Beaumond house community hospice provided, advice and support to enable this. The hospice at home team visited her twice a day to not only provide the physical support she need but also the psychological and emotional support that meant she was able to stay in her own home and to die peacefully in the place she loved.

Beaumond house survive through mainly charitable donations, this vital community service is incredibly precious to so many people in this area and so with the support of my family and in particular, Jill's daughters, I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Beaumond house and the amazing staff who dedicate themselves to the patients and their families in the final stages of life. Please if you can spare a few pence the Morgan's and Hibberd's would be incredibly grateful.
