Story

FOOTBALL (YORKSHIRE) TO AMSTERDAM BICYCLE RIDE 2018

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be setting off from Barnsley FC's Oakwell Stadium in the early hours on Friday 1st June and hoping to reach Ajax's Amsterdam Arena by the evening of Saturday 2nd June on a 145-mile bike ride in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

I'll be representing Crewe Alexandra FC and riding with 400 cyclists from football clubs throughout the UK as football joins forces with Prostate Cancer UK.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Every hour one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 10,800 men every year. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.
