From the 20th of August 2015 I will be aiming to swim 500,000m in the following 365 days. 

This works out at a total of 20,000 lengths of a 25m swimming pool or 1,666 per month or 55 lengths every single one of those 365 days. 

I am undertaking this swim to raise money for Breast Cancer Care who supported my Grandma through her treatment for cancer. I also lost my other Grandmother to Breast Cancer before I was born, so cancer, specifically Breast Cancer, has impacted my family dramatically.. I want to raise 10p per length, which is a total of £2,000.

Where will your money go:

£10 (100 lengths): Can pay for someone to attend a breast awareness workshop and help make sure that they're able to spot the signs of breast cancer early. 

£23 (230 lengths): Can pay for a call to breast cancer cares Support Line so anyone affected by breast cancer can talk to someone who understands they challenges they're facing and provide them with the support they need. 

£132 (1320 Lengths): Can pay for six sessions of Breast Cancer Cares Invaluable 'Someone Like me' service, which connects women with a trained volunteer who has a direct experience of breast cancer and the issues they're facing.
