In memory of our girl, taken too soon. Team Sian. We love you Sian

Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike 2023 - full marathon · 8 July 2023 ·
Hi, I’m Gemma, Sian’s little sister. After two years of courageously fighting, our Sian passed away in October 2022. Loving wife, devoted daughter, mum to 2 year old Dawson and stepmum to 5 year old Theadora.
Sian was diagnosed with Breast cancer when little Dawson was a few weeks old. Sian fought for life with courage, She not only continued to work full time throughout her treatment but raised money for Macmillan and even did this very marathon herself with Rachel !!!
Sian also took part in maggies runway fashion show
How can we not continue the legacy.
Macmillan have supported Sian and our family through what we wish no family ever goes through. What is really important here is when I used to say to Sian ‘I feel so angry, why you ? ' her reply was always ‘there will be a cure, they are really close to finding it.’
Sian's optimism and smile often had us thinking this day would never come. But as I write this with tears down my cheeks I know we have to continue…..because Sian was never wrong ! A cure will be found and money Into research and trials will do it.
This day will bring her friends and family together, walking, crying and most importantly, remembering that Sian did this marathon with cancer. We will not let you down.
Thank you for reading. Check your bodies. Check your boobs
Sian is forever our inspiration, our idol and we are proud to know and love her.
