I am running in the 2011 Great North Run to raise funds for CLIC Sargent, a charity that supports and cares for children with cancer and their families.

They fund specialist nurses and social workers to provide clinical care and help the children and their families cope with the stresses after diagnosis, as well as providing accommodation closer to hospitals providing treatment, and Play Specialists who can help to guide children through the sometimes scary aspects of their treatment.

So please give whatever you can. My knees will feel (a little) better knowing that they are hurting for a good cause.
