Firstly i wanted to say I'm not a seasoned athlete nor am I a veteran fundraiser. ( but everyone likes a challenge.) 

I've never done any charity work for LGBT Charities before because i think you always feel like someone else is/will.I met my partner last year in Nottingham and we're getting married next year and all of a sudden something clicked, without the work of charities like the LGBT foundation fighting for equal marriage rights this isn’t something that we would have been able to do. Also as my partner is Polish the struggle for equal rights and the recognition of same sex marriage is still very real, they aren’t in the same position we are here. She has told me stories of marching in pride parades back in Poland and having the police walk on either side of you to protect you from rocks being hurled at you and people threatening to kill you. I think it takes hearing something like that from someone that you love to make you realize what a strong position we are in compared to other countries and how much work these charities are doing, but also how much there is still to be done. Because of this I feel its even more important for me to show my appreciation for the ongoing work that is being done by the LGBT foundation by fundraising AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE  to help them continue with the great work they are doing and I hope that you will all support me in doing this :)
