Story
Three years ago, my father was diagnosed with cancer. Because of the treatment at the Royal Marsden, his life was prolonged by well over a year. Sadly, he passed away about a year ago but I still feel that the Marsden helped him a lot.
All of the girls in my year at school have chosen to do a charitable act over the christmas holidays. We all are volunteering or raising money to help the community outside of school. I immediately wanted to volunteer at the Royal Marsden because of the care they'd given my father. Unfortunately, I've discovered that you need to be over 18 to volunteer in the hospital, so instead I'm organising a tea party at Stubton Hall on the 23rd December 2015 to raise money for them.
I hope we will raise over £900 to help the Marsden treat other cancer sufferers and to help them find a cure. If you can come to the tea party, I would love to see you there. There will be cakes to eat, tea to drink and games to play. There is no charge to come, but I hope you will leave a donation of your choice on the day. If you are unable to attend, you can just donate online via this page.
