Imagine being told your toddler you thought was healthy, but perhaps slow to progress, in fact had a rare and devastating disability that would leave them needing lifelong 24/7 care. Rett syndrome changes lives irrevocably. With your support Rett UK is there from the beginning. #ToKnowHerIsToLoveHer

Story

Georgia is the 4 year old daughter of Lisa & Jeff Strudwick who live in Coulsdon, Surrey.  Georgia was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome in September 2006.

Girls with Rett Syndrome are profoundly disabled and are highly dependant on others for all of their needs all of their life.
The Rett Syndrome Association UK  are a national charity who offer advice & support to people with Rett Syndrome, their families and carers.

Last year Jeff Strudwick and some friends completed a charity bike ride which proved a success; raising around £8,000 for the Rett Association.  Following requests from both the event participants and the donators Jeff & Lisa have agreed to conduct 2 events in September 2008.

Jeff and friends will again be completing the bike ride to Brighton and Lisa  and friends will be performing their first parachute jumps.  All proceeds for both events will be presented to the Rett Association.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RETT syndrome Association UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support
