Story
I've decided to run the Great North Run-in memory of my lovely mam.
My mam was the strongest person I've ever met, after 3 long years fighting cancer she finally lost her battle on 18th November 2018. She never gave up and always had a brave face and pushed us all to succeed in everything we set out to do.
I've always wanted to run the GNR after growing up with the excitement of the whole weekend. I've watching my Dad do it every year, and even my mam was convinced to do it a couple times. So I started 2020 with the goal of completing it myself with the aim of raising as much money as I could for Maggie's Centres, which is a brilliant centre based at the Freeman Hospital which offered the most amazing support to my mam and the entire family throughout all her time in hospital.
The current lockdown situation and moving home from university has really got me into running more frequently (maybe because its my one hour a day to escape the family haha). The initial goal set is £350 but I hope I can raise as much money as possible for this amazing cause so any donations would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Georgia xx
