Story
Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am embarking on an epic challenge to raise as much money as possible for my local community hospice. I depart 1st October and trek the Crocker Range rainforest before climbing the highest mountain in Borneo and Malaysia, Mount Kinabalu. My trek is designed to be gruelling and to push me far outside my comfort zone. I despise creepy crawlies and the rainforest shall be swarming with them. I have a fear of heights yet I will summit the mighty 4000m+ mountain. I am determined to complete my mission because this cause is close to my heart and to that of my local community.
The Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice provides specialist palliative care to its patients and support to relatives and friends. The staff at the hospice work tirelessly to improve the quality of life for others. Their amazing work can only continue thanks to the generous donations of others. By donating on my page, you are helping to keep the hospice open.
I have been busy with fundraising and doing as much as possible to give back to the community to thank you all for being so supportive. Events to date have been: a 12 hour Treadmillathon Challenge, 4x supermarket collections (sometimes in costume!), a Comedy and Cake evening, a Masquerade ball and charity auction, raffles, sweepstakes, office swear jar and dress down days, working Sue Ryder bars for weddings and retirement parties, running stalls at the 1940s and 1960s weekends. Watch this space for more events!
But I cannot do it without your help!
