We work with churches, individuals and local organisations in communities worldwide, supporting people of all faiths and none to rise out of poverty. We help people survive disasters, deal with the impact of climate change, find shelter from conflict and have a voice in their communities.

Story

[Open from 6 November 2015 to 5 February 2016]

Thanks for visiting! We're inviting you to join us in giving away one day's pay to support Christian Aid's Christmas Appeal 2015 working with malaria projects in Nigeria. One day, to give families in Nigeria this Christmas hope of a safer, healthier, better day.

For gifts between 6 November 2015 and 5 February 2016, the UK Government will again match every pound you give – meaning we can transform the lives of even more people living in poverty. Double the impact!

Last year, the Christian Aid East Midlands and Cambridgeshire launched Give a Day Away to raise money for the 2014 Christmas Appeal. We felt deeply challenged when we heard that 15,000 babies a year in Kenya don’t live beyond one day and wanted to do something in response. So we decided to give a day away. One day’s pay, to help thousands of children live beyond one day. A few friends and family joined in and we raised over £2,000.

This year, we want to go a step further in supporting Christian Aid's 2015 Christmas appeal, this time with malaria projects in Nigeria. We're extending the invitation to friends and supporters across the East Midlands and Cambridgeshire to join us. Giving just one day, to give people in Nigeria hope of a better day.

We recommend that donors keep their donation amounts hidden so that the focus isn't on the individual donations, but rather on our work together in raising the total.
