Cerebral Palsy Cymru is Wales’s leading cerebral palsy charity. We provide specialist therapy to babies and children who have or are suspected of having cerebral palsy. We also provide a family support service which offers practical and emotional support to those who need it.

Story

Twenty years ago I was part of a small group of parents who were determined to set up a charity in Wales for children with cerebral palsy. Today that charity is known as Bobath Children's Therapy Centre Wales and we have worked with hundreds of children from across Wales. Having achieved one major goal in my life and now having reached the 'BIG 50' I feel the need for a very personal challenge and have decided to embark upon a 100 km Sahara Trek to raise much needed funds for Bobath. I felt it was fitting to set myself a real fundraising challenge as well as the physical challenge and so have set my target at £20,000 (£1,000 for each year of my involvement with Bobath).
I am very excited about this challenge and know that I have a lot of work ahead of me but when I put my mind to something I can be one determined lady!
During my years of work with Bobath it has become like my second family  and I have a lot to be grateful for due to the help and therapy that my son Thomas has received at the Centre. If you are able to sponsor me I would be delighted but I would just like you to remember that your donation will be helping some very special children and their families who need our long term support. Thank you, Glenys
