We support Birmingham Children's Hospital to improve the lives of sick children

Story

Our collegue Ian Scott-Garrett's baby boy Ollie was born on 19 December 2012 with Oesophagial Atresia, a life-threatening medical condition that meant he needed round the clock care.

During his five month stay at Birmingham Children's Hospital, he received fantastic care in the Neo-Natal Surgical Ward. Without the tireless work and dedication of the staff, Ollie would probably have not survived. Because of them, Ollie now looks forward to a bright and happy future.

But the work of the Neo-Natal Surgical Ward does not stop there. There are many more sick babies desperately in need of its care.

The staff and students from the Public Services Department at Birmingham Metropolitan College are working together to raise a minimum of £5000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital - to help the staff give more children their lives back. Will you join us?

We will be undertaking a range of fundraising activities within BMETC campuses and in local supermarkets over the next few days. In addition, we will be holding a Promise Auction / Quiz Night from 7.30 pm on 05 June 2013 at the Green Man Pub in Middleton, Staffordshire. Finally, we will be completing a charity challenge at Birmingham Children's Hospital on 07 June 2013.

Please see our press release here.

We need your help. Every penny you give will be spent on transforming the lives of babies and children from across the country. By donating in person or through this website, you really will be helping to give them their lives back.

Please help us - how much is a life worth to you?

About the charity
