I am raising money for Yorkhill Children's Foundation and I passionately believe this is a very worthy cause to support. 

My daughter Tanya had her operation there when she was only three years old and we have witnessed first hand the great work they do, from fine detail of preparing children and their families for the stay in the hospital (no matter how short , as Tanya's was only for 4 days)  to excellent medical care.

I am taking on a challenge of running Glasgow women's 10K in May 2008. I have never run long distances before and in preparation for this race I have lost a stone. I am grateful to my family and friends for encouraging me to do it and indebted to my coach Lindsay and my fellow runners at Garscube Harriers for their help and support.
