"Gorilla's in the Mist" consists of 20 employees of Gorilla Accounting,  the Seneca Group and a few friends.  We are (sadly) not a team of super athletes but a collection of 9-5ers looking to injure challenge ourselves in the name of charity.

Gorilla Accounting is proud to be a patron of Bolton Lads and Girls Club.  Since 1889 Bolton Lads and Girls Club has provided the young people of Bolton with support where they need it.  Open to all, the Club tries to bring the best out of every child and offers a variety of programs to meet the needs of the local population.  From its modest beginnings as a Hostel for the young mill workers in the late 19th Century, the Club now works with almost 8,000 local youngsters each and every week. 

Our 20 foolish brave volunteers will be testing themselves against what has been described as the UK's toughest half marathon, the Brooks Hell Runner (http://hellrunner.co.uk/hellupnorth/), in scenic Delamere Forest on Saturday 17th October 2015.  Sadly the group will have little time to enjoy the scenery as they take on hills, mud and the affectionately named "bog of doom".

Expect laughter, pain and tears (lots and lots of tears) as the "Gorilla's" attempt to complete the full 13.1 mile course before the sun sets and mountain rescue needs to be called.

Please give anything you can spare to the cause.  There will be times, most likely in the neck high mud of "Lucifers Lido", when the team wonders if it is all worth it.  Having the knowledge that they are doing their part (however small) to assist local children will allow them to realise that "YES, IT IS".
