Please can you help Gracie May have sweet dreams?

 

Gracie-May, HorseWorld’s gentle giant ‘heavy horse’ was featured in global news this summer when we appealed for a pyjama suit to help ease a severe case of itching.

 

The gorgeous Gracie-May lives at HorseWorld Visitor Centre, Whitchurch, and suffers from sweet itch, a medical condition caused by an allergic reaction to midge bites. There is no current cure, only ongoing treatment.

 

We were looking for an extra large rug she could wear to prevent future bites. Watch this space for what we hope will be good news on the PJs!

 

Now we’re asking for donations to help Gracie have sweet dreams by helping pay for the bedding she needs … and other items too. All the money raised will help Gracie May and the other animals at HorseWorld.

 

By donating to Gracie’s Sweet Dreams appeal you can help pay for her continuing care. Here’s how your money will help:

 

·         £5 will pay for hard feed Gracie for a week

·         £10 will pay for worming treatments for one month, or for Gracie’s food supplements for the month

·         £12 will buy the creams and medicines she needs to keep her condition under control each month

·         £15 will provide a week’s worth of hay for Gracie

·         £30 will help give Gracie sweet dreams in  a deep bed of shavings for a month.

·         £75 will take care of her dental care for a month

·         £100 will pay for her veterinary care for three months

Gracie May arrived at HorseWorld a few years ago, extremely emaciated and having lost most of her hair.
